Alcoholism, sexual abuse, drug addiction, sexual and pornography addiction, gambling, and broken relationships are just some of the issues that seriously affect many people in our church and community. Sermons or Bible studies alone won’t solve these issues. Hope and help are here! Celebrate Recovery, a Christ-Centered, group program helps people overcome the struggles with life’s hurts, hang-ups, and habits. Every meeting begins with a time of praise and worship followed by small group sessions.

Twelve-step programs are vague about the nature of God, the saving power of Jesus Christ, and the ministry of the Holy Spirit. Celebrate Recovery is a biblical and balanced ministry that uses eight principles based on the actual words of Jesus rather than psychological theory, which is why it is so effective in helping people change.

The Bible clearly states “all have sinned.” It is our nature. None of us is untainted. Because of sin, we’ve all hurt ourselves, we’ve all hurt other people, and others have hurt us. This means each of us needs repentance and recovery in order to live our lives the way God intended.

You’ve undoubtedly heard the expression that “time heals all wounds.” Unfortunately, it isn’t true. Many people, perhaps even in our church, still carry old hurts. The truth is time often makes things worse. Wounds that are left untended fester and spread infection throughout the entire body. Time only extends the pain ifthe problem isn’t dealt with. Temple is a place for healing. We know that many in our church family and community are ready to experience healing, which comes when we experience the grace of almighty God.

Through God’s grace and power, thousands of individuals have found freedom from life’s long addictions and compulsions, experienced the restoration of broken relationships, and found a new life purpose, in hundreds of churches that have offered the Christ-centered ministry. At Temple we are going to see lives changed in dramatic ways — hopeless marriages restored, and people set free from all kinds of sinful habits, hang-ups, and hurts as they allow Jesus to be Lord in every area of their lives.
