Vision

True Vision for the Church is most effective when we are certain it has come from God. We desire nothing more than to simply see God glorified. In our worship. In our words. In our actions. In our lives. In our.......everything.

Because it’s only by His perfect plan, through His transforming grace, and for His everlasting glory that we can truly worship Him (our Life Worship), that we can truly understand how - and have the capacity to - love His church (our Life Together), and that we can truly do unto the least of these in our community and in our world (our Life Mission).

This was the thunder preached in the desert. This is the reason for which the Son came. This is what the “chief among sinners” taught...and experienced. The transformation from death to life. The center point on the continuum of discipleship. Not just the goal. Certainly not the end. But truly the beginning. And all and only for His glory.

Mission

The biblical narrative is about God's mission in, through, and for the sake of the world and how God has called His followers to be part of reaching out to that world for His purpose of saving it in love. Our Mission is to focus on what He wants to accomplish and how we can be a part of it. To do this, we will build on our Gospel - centered values:

Love God: A high view of Him by and through His Word

Love His church with passion & patience

Love all peoples with truth & mercy, through action & sacrifice

This is a Mission discovered through interaction with Scripture, not derived from culture, although it must also be embodied in translatable forms within our culture.

Values

  • Life Worship. We see the body dedicate itself to the teaching of the apostles, to worship, and to prayer.
  • Life Together. We also follow their example of committing themselves to the life together and to the common meal, living in wonderful harmony, holding everything in common.
  • Life Mission. We see that by living out their faith that people in general liked what they saw. Every day their number grew as God added those who were saved.
