The goal of Temple’s Recreation Ministry is to encourage people to develop as Jesus did — mentally, physically, spiritually, and socially. Everything we do from a crafts class to sports to a leisure learning experience through Lifelong Learning University to fitness classes has that goal in mind.

BodyWorks

A class for all fitness levels designed to improve muscular strength and endurance. Each major muscle group is targeted using a variety of resistance equipment. If you want to lose body fat and sculpt your muscles, this class is a must! (60 minutes)

Bootcamp

Drill sergeants will get you in shape with this easy-to-follow interval basic boot camp style workout. Fitness boot camp may challenge you to get amazing results while you sweat, sweat, sweat your way to a shapely, strong, fit body and an entirely new you! (60 minutes)

Fitness Yoga

A class that helps you... Refresh, Refocus, and Renew. Increases your strength and flexibility! Emphasis is on balance and toning. (60 minutes)

Lets Sweat!

High intensity, extreme calorie burning, features callisthenic workouts and quick cardiovascular burst blended with resistance training. Sweat yourself to a toned and fit body!. (60 minutes)

Relaxation Yoga

A class that helps you... Refresh, Refocus, and Renew. Increases your strength and flexibility! Emphasis is on stress reduction and relaxation. (60 minutes)

Step Sculpt

Cross training class combining hi/low, step and weights for a tone/firm body! (45 minutes)

Zumba

Latin inspired dance fitness class. This class format combines fast and slow rhythms that tone and sculpt the body in an aerobic fitness fashion to achieve a unique blended balance of cardio and muscle-toning benefits. So ditch the workout and join the party.(60 minutes)

Tone It Up!

Tone mager muscle groups using weights and your own body weight through resistance. Also, focus on your core. More Muscle leads to a faster metabolism! (60 mins)

Tai Chi

An elegant, low impact exercise form that enhances physical and mental skills, as well as a spiritual focus.

 

*Each group fitness class is $2. First session is free. A punch card for 20 classes can be purchased for only $30! Monday thru Friday morning (9:15am) classes have childcare available. Infants thru entering kindergarten in the fall will be in craft room next door to the aerobics room. School-age children will be supervised in the gym. A punch card can be purchased for $40 and covers childcare per child for 20 classes. Drop in rate is $3 per child. Childcare is for fitness class participants only.
