For some time, staff and members of Temple have been prayerfully seeking the Lord’s direction for our church. What you will read is a synopsis. Our theme is summed up in the verb “saturate.” Habakkuk 2:14 says, “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” The word “filled” in this verse has many theological themes in the Old Testament, and for Habakkuk, he looked at a world filled with many things that grieved God. However, with spiritual eyes, the prophet longed for and looked with hope to the day God’s glory would saturate the earth. The promise still stands. God’s glory shall one day fill this earth, for Jesus Christ shall return, put down all sin, and establish His righteous kingdom.

As we look toward that day, we are committed to fulfilling our responsibility of “saturating” the Pinebelt and the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ. While the information in this booklet
is not exhaustive, it does provide a clear path for the next five years. We invite you to join us in this journey. Let us seek to be “filled” or “saturated” (Eph. 5:18) with God’s Spirit, and let us seek to “saturate” the Pinebelt and the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ (Matt. 24:14)!
