The Senior Adult Ministry at Temple Baptist Church is known by the name “Prime Timers”. The Prime Timers ministry is for all Seniors age 60 and above.
Prime Timers Mission Statement: The mission of Temple Baptist Church Senior Adult Ministry is to honor God by providing opportunities for spiritual growth, creating opportunities for fellowship and adventure, and reaching lost and unchurched Senior Adults.
Monthly Fellowship: Each month our Seniors have at least 3 opportunities to get together for Christian fellowship. These opportunities are:
Monthly Luncheon-We have a monthly Potluck luncheon on the first Thursday of each month. We meet in the Children’s Theater on the 2nd floor of the building. For easy access to the Theater simply go to the SW corner of the building, look for the signs and enter the elevator located about 20 feet from the curbside. Our luncheons start at 11:00AM and we always have entertainment that glorifies God. We hope you will come join us, bring your favorite vegetable and/or dessert and be prepared to have a good time.
Game Day-On Tuesday following our Monthly luncheon, our Seniors get together to play various games such as Sequence, Cards&Marbles, Mexican Train etc. You are guaranteed to have a fun time with your fellow seniors at this event. Game Day meets at 12:30PM in WC111 which is located vicinity of the Church Offices.
Monthly Event-In addition to the above, each month we will always have an opportunity for members to participate in one other event such as a Day Trip, Eat Out, various tours of historic sites, Valentines Banquet, etc.
Newsletter-To keep our members informed we publish and mail a monthly newsletter. If you are not receiving the Newsletter, please contact the church office(Kara Mackender) to be added to our mailing list.
Email Blasts-Periodically we send news of current events to all our members via email. If you would like to be added to this to this email list please send your request to .
Leadership Team-We have a Senior Adult Leadership Team to lead and plan activities for our Seniors. If at any time, you would like additional information or have suggestions/recommendations for our program, please feel free to contact any member of the Leadership team. Members are as follows:
