Local Partners


  • Urban Outreach - Temple Ministry that meets every Sunday afternoon, 3:30pm. This is a Matthew 25 Outreach Ministry to families in downtown Hattiesburg.  
  • United Christian Ministry - Temple partners with UCM physically and financially to disciple inner city youth with the gospel. 
  • The Salvation Army – Temple financially supports The Salvation Army who provides benevolence and shelter services to Hattiesburg’s homeless and indigent families. TSA is our referral point for homeless needs.  
  • Christian Women’s Job Corp - With the support of trained volunteers and staff, the Christian Women's Job Corps® is committed to assisting Pine Belt area women become self-sufficient by equipping them with essential educational, employment, and life skills so that they can become viable contributors to the community.  
  • Disaster Relief Teams -Temple develops teams of volunteers that are equipped & ready to respond to a disaster. Training is provided, and is required in order to travel as part of a Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Team. We seek to spread the hope of the Gospel to those who need a helping hand.  
  • Military Family Ministry – Temple’s Military Family Ministry was created to share the unique burdens of soldiers and their families brought on by the honorable call to serve and sacrifice. Temple’s MFM provides many services and programs to soldiers and their families that help keep the home-front strong while their loved one is serving on mission.  
  • BSU @ the University of Southern Mississippi - Temple is a financial supporter of the Baptist Student Union on the campus of The University of Southern Mississippi.  
  • BSU @ William Carey University - Temple is a financial supporter of The Baptist Student Union at William Carey University which plays an important role in connecting students to university life and each other by helping them grow in a relationship with Christ through Bible study, missions, and servant leadership.
  • First Priority - Temple physically and financially supports First Priority, a ministry dedicated to equipping youth to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, student to student, in the local schools.  
  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes - The FCA vision is to see Mississippi impacted for Jesus Christ through the influence of athletes and coaches. We will accomplish this by presenting the gospel to athletes and coaches. Temple financially supports the FCA.
  • Edwards Street Fellowship Center – Temple partners with Edwards Street Fellowship financially and as a benevolence referral partner. Edwards Street Fellowship Center is a non-profit community center that offers programs for children, seniors, families and a food pantry that serves more than 1,000 families each month.
  • Prison Ministry – Temple’s Prison Ministry Team organizes and oversees the Prison Ministry to local jails, prisons, and/or prison inmates and families.
  • English as a Second Language (ESL) - Imagine living in a country and not being able to communicate outside of your home. Temple has a ministry opportunity to help internationals learn English as a second language. You can help. No experience or knowledge of a second language is necessary.
