Position: Wednesday Night Equipping Class Teacher

Overview: The Wednesday Night Equipping Class Teacher is responsible for leading and facilitating an equipping class on Wednesday nights at [Church Name]. Equipping classes are designed to help participants grow in their faith and knowledge of the Bible. Classes are typically 8 or 16 weeks long and take place in the fall and spring.

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and teach engaging and biblically sound lessons for the assigned equipping class.
  2. Create a welcoming and interactive learning environment for class participants.
  3. Develop class materials, including handouts, presentations, and discussion questions.
  4. Lead class discussions and encourage active participation from class members.
  5. Provide pastoral care and support to class members as needed.
  6. Ensure class content aligns with the overall vision and goals of Temple.
  7. Attend and participate in training sessions and meetings for equipping class teachers.
  8. Communicate effectively with class participants, providing updates and information about the class as needed.

Qualifications:

  1. Previous teaching or leadership experience, preferably in a church or ministry setting.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  3. Ability to create and deliver engaging and relevant lessons.
  4. Ability to work collaboratively with other ministry leaders and volunteers.
  5. Commitment to personal spiritual growth and development.

Time Commitment:

  • Wednesday nights during the fall and spring equipping class sessions.
  • Additional time for lesson preparation, training sessions, and meetings as needed.

Training and Support:

  • Training and resources will be provided to help teachers prepare for their classes.
  • Ongoing support and feedback
