Preschool Policies
Check-In/Pick Up Procedures
- Children may be left only when parents are at church sponsored activities. Parents MUST stay in the building. Please do not leave your child in any room when a teacher is not there to receive the child.
- Parents must check-in their child at a computer check-in station at the Preschool Depot. 2 labels (3 if you wish) will be printed, 1 for the child and the other(s) for parents/guardians. These labels must be used for pick-up.
- Please keep your security label handy. It may be used if we need to reach you during the worship service.
- Pagers will given to all babies, ones and twos classes or to anyone who wishes to have one.
- Only adults who can present a security label may pick up a child. We will not release a child to an older sibling.
- Present your security label to the worker at the door. They will compare the 5 digit number on both the child’s and parents labels.
- Please make sure you have all your child’s belongings with you.
- Please exit through same entry point by the Preschool Depot. The exit doors in the Preschool Ministry should only be used in the case of emergencies.
Calling upon a parent
- If a need arises to call on a parent to attend to the child, the following procedures will be used.
- Parent will be paged using the pager handed to them at check-in.
- If parent does not respond, the 5 digit code in the upper right hand corner of the label will be placed on the screens in the worship center.
Sickness/Health Policy
- A child with fever, bad cold, severe cough, diarrhea, or any contagious disease should not be brought to the preschool facilities where he or she may infect others. Children need to be free of fever for at least 24 hours before returning to the facility. Teachers may not give medication to preschoolers. Parents will be notified if a child becomes ill during the session and will be expected to come for the child.
