Young Adults Pastor (Married/Singles 20s/30s)

The role of the Young Adult Pastor oversees all elements of ministry for the Young Singles Ministry and Young Married Ministry. In fulfilling the mission statement of the church, he will work toward accomplishing four primary purposes for this role:  help people process their age-stage issues through the discipleship process, cultivate quality relationships with young adults, mobilize the groups in this ministry to reach out to young adults in our community, and maturing believers through the vision frame of Temple.

ABOUT THE HATTIESBURG, MS COMMUNITY

Oak Grove is a suburb of Hattiesburg, MS and sits right next door to Oak Grove High School which is an “A” rated school and one of the largest in the state. Hattiesburg is a growing and diverse city that is anchored by The University of Southern Mississippi, William Carey University, Camp Shelby (military base), as well as The Hattiesburg Clinic, Forrest General Hospital, and Wesley Hospital. While Hattiesburg has the usual offering of chain stores and restaurants, it also has numerous local eateries and shops as well. While religion is valued and the community conservative by nature, roughly 80% of the the population does not actively attend church.
