MISSIONS

Missions

Sharing Jesus with others locally and around the world is a continual heartbeat of Temple!  We are thankful to have many arms of outreach happening on a regular basis through planned events and through the love of our members.

Locally, our ultimate focus is set on "Love the Hub." Through this initiative, we hope to continually give back to our community.

Nationally and around the world we desire to always be connected with missionaries and church planters to further the message of Jesus to the ends of the Earth.  We also continually send out people for short term trips and long term opportunities like our GAP program.

Defining our reach

  • Rochester:  Temple's first church plant is located in Rochester, NY.  Pastor David Douglas is leading the church.  Visit their website
  • GAP: The GAP program is designed for students to take a "gap" year during college to experience ministry in a wide variety of different ways.  GAP students have traveled to places including Poland, Australia, and within the United States. GAP Application |  Email Missions if interested.
  • Local Partners:  Temple has several local groups we partner with to reach our community.  These organizations include: Urban Outreach, Disaster Relief, United Christian Ministry, Christian Services, The Salvation Army, Hope Clinic, Extra Table, BSU at USM, BSU at WCU, First Priority, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Edwards Street Fellowship, Prison Ministry, and English as a Second Language (ESL)
  • Short-Term Trips: Temple usually sends several mission teams out within the U.S. and internationally.  Upcoming trips will be posted on this page when they are available.
