Position: Student Ministry Volunteer

Overview: The Student Ministry Volunteer Team Member plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of students and leaders during student ministry events and activities. This role involves monitoring entrances and exits, patrolling the premises, and responding to any security concerns or emergencies that may arise. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to creating a safe and welcoming environment for all students and leaders.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor entrances and exits during student ministry events and activities to ensure that only authorized individuals enter the premises.
  • Patrol the premises to deter unauthorized access and to respond quickly to any security concerns or emergencies.
  • Communicate effectively with student ministry leaders and other security team members to coordinate security efforts.
  • Monitor behavior during Wednesday night activities and address any inappropriate behavior
  • Report any incidents or concerns to student ministry leaders and/or church security personnel.
  • Provide a visible presence to deter potential threats and to reassure students, leaders, and parents of their safety.

Qualifications:

  • Strong sense of responsibility and commitment to the safety and security of students and leaders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check and any required training.
  • Physical ability to patrol the premises and respond quickly to emergencies.
  • Knowledge of basic security procedures and protocols is a plus.

Position: Student Check-In

Overview: The Student Check-In plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and secure environment for teenagers attending our church. This role involves greeting first-time guests, members, and regular attenders, and ensuring that the check-in process is smooth and efficient. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and welcoming demeanor and a passion for teenagers.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet students as they arrive at the student check-in areas, creating a warm and welcoming environment.
  • Assist students with the check-in process, ensuring that teenagers are checked in correctly
  • Answer any questions that students may have about the student ministry or other church programs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized check-in area, ensuring that all supplies are stocked and ready for use.
  • Work closely with other check-in attendants and student ministry leaders to ensure that all teenagers are accounted for and that any special needs are addressed.

Qualifications:

  • Friendly and welcoming demeanor.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
  • Commitment to creating a safe and secure environment for students.
