Job Title: Bible Fellowship Teacher

Job Description: The Bible Fellowship Teacher is a vital role in our church, responsible for facilitating the spiritual growth and development of our members through the teaching and application of God's Word. The ideal candidate will have a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a desire to share their spiritual gifts with others. They will work closely with the Discipleship Pastor and other church leaders to coordinate the teaching of their class and ensure alignment with the overall vision and mission of the church.

Responsibilities:

  • Grow in personal love relationship with Jesus through the development and sharing of spiritual gift/s.
  • Meet regularly with the Discipleship Pastor for support, guidance, and accountability.
  • Prayerfully coordinate teaching of class with Bible Fellowship (BF) Director and other BF leaders.
  • Prepare and teach God’s Word in a relevant and engaging manner.
  • Lead/participate in a Discipleship Group or relationally disciple 2-5 BF members (same gender) monthly each year.
  • Develop questions and activities to foster discussion and interaction within the class.
  • Help in the life application process, seeking heart transformation rather than just behavioral modification.
  • Develop a personal relationship with BF members to aid in preparation of weekly lesson prep.
  • Prepare lessons for believers and those seeking or who don’t believe.
  • Participate in opportunities to hone teaching skills as available at the church.
  • Develop a teacher in training to expand the teaching team and invest in future leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Personal relationship with Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior
  • Must be a member of the Temple Baptist Church for at least a year.
  • Evidence of one who is seeking to grow in spiritual maturity
  • Possesses the abilities to do the task they are being enlisted for
  • Has a strong regular attendance commitment of at least 80% or better
  • Willing and able to be “above reproach” on issues that could cause those you lead to stumble. (Romans 14:15-21 )
