Coach’s Expectations:

1. Set a Godly Example.
   1. This includes how you interact with players, families, other teams, other coaches, referees. -Compromising decisions lead to significant consequences

2. Do the Devotion.
   1. Beginning, middle, or end of practices, coaches are expected to do this. (Hopefully this is why you want to coach to begin with)

3. Ministry Safe.
   1. All coaches must go through ministry safe training and a background check. Not optional.

4. Communicate, Communicate, Communicate
   1. This includes… with 5220 staff, parents, players, information about practices, games, and anything else.

5. Be Present.
   1. “Be where your boots are” … Coaches are expected to be a all practices, meetings, games, etc. Let us know if you will be missing a practice or game in advance. 

6. Be Player Centered
   1. BE a spark plug for the player! Remember, this may be the only night of the week children will receive encouragement. Be sure to be uplifting as possible as often as possible.

7. Follow the Rules with Integrity
   1. This helps the overall atmosphere of the game. Remember, we are trying to cultivate the best environment for gospel seeds to take root. Coaches and Referees are expected to cultivate help this environment.  Don’t be the coach who robs the kid from the kingdom AND playing time. 

8. Love the Referees publicly, disagree with BEN privately.
   1. Coaches are expected to help the referees win as well. At no point should coaches be yelling at a referee publicly. At no point should you be cutting the ref down to parents or players. If you got a problem with a referee, go, see Ben.

9. Control your Emotions
   1. At no point should you negatively yell at Players, Refs, or Fans
